What we do to protect the environment

To protect the environment is very important. Thats why we have implemented quite a lot of procedures to go green:

• All electrical geysers have been replaced by solar-water-heaters
• All cleaning chemicals are 100% bio degradable
• Waste is avoided as much as possible (for example no individually wrapped items at the breakfast buffet, no plastic straws etc)
• Rubbish is sorted for recycling (paper, glass, tins/cans, plastics)
• Water saving is important to us. Therefore dripping tabs, running toilets etc are repaired instantly (please report to reception should you see one)
• Water buckets are provided in all showers to collect the cold water until the hot water arrives (depending on the distance from the room to the geyser) - this is then used for the plants in the garden
• For our garden we choose endemic plants that need only little watering
• For new appliances energy efficiency is taken into consideration in the purchasing process
• Our housekeeping staff is trained to shut down lights,  tvs and/or air conditioning when nobody is in the room
• The amount of chlorine and other chemicals that are used for the pool are kept to a minimum
